Plate Hold Bulgarian Split Squat (Ascending Set)

COACHING NOTES

1. USE BODYWEIGHT OR WEIGHT PLATES ACCORDING TO YOUR LEVEL OF STRENGTH. DO 12-15 REPS ON EACH LEG

2. TRY AND INCREASE RESISTANCE/WEIGHT AND DO 3-5 ADDITIONAL REPS IMMEDIATELY AFTER, JUST AS YOU WOULD ON A DROP SET.

3. I TYPICALLY USE A SEATED CALF RAISE MACHINE WITH A SQUAT SPONGE FOR MY BACK LEG REST/SUPPORT. WORKS GREAT. IF YOU HAVE A BULGARIAN BENCH AT YOUR GYM…EVEN BETTER. YOU CAN EVEN USE THE SMITH MACHINE BAR AT THE PROPER HEIGHT WITH A PAD ON IT AS WELL. MAKE DUE WITH WHAT YOU HAVE. A STANDARD BENCH WILL ALSO WORK.
